I am 44 years old. I am a social worker, a social educator and a pedagogist. I am married, and I have two wonderful daughters, ages 9 and 13.

As a practioner, I am a carrier guidance operator. I currently work for a job center in the metropolitan area of Naples, mainly providing carrier guidance to people with special needs, including people with disabilities.

Over the last 30 years, I’ve founded the leading Italian association of social educators, and I have been involved in trade unions and other associations. Currently, I am responsible for the training activities for my trade union in the metropolitan area of Naples.

Over the years, I’ve written a number of essays and some books about social services, employment policies for people with disabilities and other social needs, and special education.

Since 2018, I have taught postgraduate courses in disciplines related to social and educational services. Since December 2022, I have been a PhD student in a program at Università telematica Pegaso in Naples. Through my doctoral research, I am exploring how to enhance employment possibilities for care leavers. Care leavers are defined as young adults who have lived part or all of their childhood or adolescence outside the family in public care.
